Guest guest
well - my son tried to get the bloodwork done yesterday around 10 am. they refused to do it. They said AM cortisol meant between 8 and 9 AM ! not 10 AM - well, we didn't get any sort of instructions like that - and my son isn't even normally up at that hour, as he works later and normally doesn't even go to bed until 4 am !!! so here is another form of 'normal' that doesn't fit the mold!! now, today, the lab is closed. so - he has to go to bed sunday at 4 - and be up to get bloodwork at 8. and then - he won't get the results back in time to see the doctor while he still has insurance. He's 22 - but I feel like I should have been there to explain that to him, 10:00 am was like 6 am to us!! I wrote in the freeT3. The doctor promised that she was running it anyway. I feel so guilty about it though. I should have taken it back to her office and had her write it in. That - would ahve let her know that I knew that she didn't order it, and maybe she would have been educated a little in the process! but, we didn't have time - I didn't think!! Cris question - blood work ASAP please! I have a script for blood work for my son. He's having it in the morning. The dr. said she ordered FreeT3. I want to be sure it really is ordered. this is what is checked: T3, Total t3 UPtake T4,Free T4 Total TSH there isn't a place on there to check mark Free T3. if it isn't included in the t3uptake, I'll write in in on the bottom by the AM Cortisol. Thanks! Cris
