I have a degree in photography - rather dust covered these days (I work at computers and data) and I use a lot of what I shoot now as references for paintings. Don't want to over amplify any talent here....just do what I can when I can....which is sometimes pretty slow. But I enjoy it. Guest guest Posted March 20, 2005 Report Share Posted March 20, 2005 Hi Sheila, I just posted 4 paintings of mine. Some are older, but it gives you an idea of what I do. I noticed that if you bring them up to full size you can get a better idea of the brush strokes, and it is very fun to look at it like that. This is one of the things that helps me on those low energy days. As long as I don't need to sleep, I can sit quietly and manage to stay awake and do something that makes me feel really good. I am feeling pretty good today. Had a good night's sleep, and went to Sunday Sanctuary at the school I had been teaching meditation at before all this began. Needless to say, I am on sabatical at the moment. Meditation seems to help me so much with the emotional/spiritual part of what we are going through. But in general I should be pretty good for the next several days before it all begins again. And this will be #8 of 12. Just counting them down now and hoping that I stay opn schedule. Jolene PS Glad to hear you are having a good day. I am doing fine today as well, been keeping busy.. Have wash almost done, just cleaned up kitchen and trying to clean out a junk entertainment center so we can trash it. Sort of consolidate the clutter. Have a craft cabinet in kids room I need to get out so they can have a bit more room. It needs to be out here now anyway. ARGHH where did I get all this junk?????? Although I posted different ones...I've done a few plants/flowers and I really like doing those kind too. I finally got bold and put a pic out there...and the paintings. Some are older, and not a lot of my better ones (which I've given away). THe last is from christmas and with my sis in law and a painting I did. She has been battling breast cancer for several years.
