Guest guest Posted April 2, 2007 Report Share Posted April 2, 2007 we have been going to a d.o. since our son was 3 or 4 months for omm (and cst). had we gone the first few weeks of his life - we probably could have skipped the helmets as things would have been set right before his head shape got so bad - which is why my next baby will be brought right away!! :-) we ended up with 2 doc bands in conjunction with omm (cst). i think the combination of the 2 has been perfect - and while we are now out of the bands - we continue with the osteopath for further reshaping. from what i understand - our children's heads will continue to grow and shape - and even though we are past the age of banding now - cst can help continue what the banding did. it might not make the head shape any better at this point = but it helps it from getting any worse. anyone thinking about going for cst - i say do it!!! just make sure they are well trained - or go to a d.o. who specializes in it. since d.o.'s are dr.'s - you might get more back from insurance too.
