I am curious. I think Kaiser is really great at some things, but I

get concerned with surgical procedures.

I had Kaiser as my insurance about 4 years ago. They did not

recommend a myo or any other procedure only a hys. I sat there

crying while the doctor implied I " tough it up. " This from a female

doctor nonetheless. Needless to say I switched insurance and have

never looked back. My current insurance, PPO Blue Cross/Shield will

cover 90% of the surgery. I am being treated much, much differently

this go around. Advice to all, I received my surgery date yesterday.

Following I made several long phone calls confirming that the doctor

and the hospital were approved by my insurance. Additionally, my dr.

has to confirm with my ins. that this surgery is necessary (a myo).

So far everything was approved and is a go, 30 days and counting.

Good luck to you.
