Neli - I give you all the praise for having that kind of attitude.

I also had fibroids and had a myo back in jul of 04. I recently had

1 IUI treatment at the age of 41. Everything was going well during

the treatment and I actually produced 10 follicles. I ovulated and

everything, however, it was not meant to be because I did not achieve

pregnancy. My husband has sperm have been tested and were in

recommended conditioned. My Dr. has stated the choice is mine

whether to do another IUI OR move onward to IVF. My chances for IVF

are more....about 25 percent more due to my age, however we

rethought. What more could we have done to improve....nothing. If

it is meant to be then it will be. We are moving towards adoption

and like you it looks like we won't have to wait long since I am in

an inter-racial marriage and we would like a bi-racial newborn. My

Dr. says that I can continue to try on my own, and we will, however

we will proceed to start the adoption process. Everyday moves me

closer to an older age and I just left it to God to direct me where I

should be. I am looking forward to it and encourage everyone on this

site to not give up on your own, but don't think that being pregnant

is the only way. Ask yourself " Do I want to be a parent or just want

to be pregnant? " I know adoption is not for everyone. I know some

women who are having problems conceiving but their spouse is against

adoption. I am so blessed that my husband is open to it. For some

reason, I have become friends to several couples/women now who have

adopted. I met 1 woman at my church who adopted 2 babies and since

then, I have met 2 others. Good Luck to you and any others on this

site who feel they have no other options, if they can not conceive.
