Exercise, weekly weigh in and hunger

Hi group-

I don't get to write much, but I read the daily digest daily and

get

a lot of pointers and " support " that way. Just reading about

others'

successes makes me believe I can do it too.

About exercising and the conversation with : I don't get

outside much myself. I broke my leg this summer and my exercise

routine really hasn't gotten back on track. I can't run or

jump for

another couple months. But I did get a small, stationary bike from

Sharper Image. It was only $25 and it is the coolest thing. It only

consists of pedals and a timer/calorie counter/odometer. I just set

it down on the floor near the couch or under my desk or table and

start pedaling. Then I just watch tv, read, play on the computer, or

have quality conversations with my daughter. Before I know it, 45

min. or more have past and I can log in a few activity points in my

tracker. It is awesome. And, one can put it on top of the table for

a nice arm workout-just pedal with your arms!

I liked the idea someone had for the ankle weights. I had been

contemplating that myself and I think I'll ask Santa for some!

About my weigh in: Lost 0.4 lbs this week. That totals 4.6 since

starting two weeks ago. Not bad over Thanksgiving. When I weigh, I

leave my shoes, jewelry, glasses and everything else on. I don't

starve myself the day of weigh in or deprive myself from water.

These were all things I did last time I was a member (3 years ago).

I got to the point where there was nowhere else to turn to lose the

extra lbs (during a plateau) and I quit. Anyone else do this? And

besides, I soothe myself knowing I actually weigh a little less than

the WW scale says!

I was a little disappointed with not quite ½ pound loss this week

until I got home. I have a " jug " of DEP hair gel on my

counter,

which started out with 16 oz. It is now half empty which would be 8

oz. Or ½ pound. (Is my thinking correct?) Anyway, I lifted the

jug

and felt how much ½ lb. weighs and realized that all of that

" Goo " in

the jug was equivalent to the " Goo " that came off my body

this week.

I was satisfied after that!

Finally-I am having a hard time with hunger. I do the flex points,

but try to stick with as much Core food as possible. I eat oatmeal

w/ banana for breakfast, fruits and veggies for snacks, healthy

sandwich and baked Lays OR soup for lunch and stir fry or fish or

soup or something else healthy for dinner, with 94% fat free popcorn

for night snack. I always go 2-4 points into my weekly allowance

every day. And yet I feel hungry nearly all the time. Any

suggestions?

Anyway, everyone have a wonderful week. Thanks for listening.

PS-the cost of WW isn't bad, not when you consider that after the

first 10 weeks, the price goes down to $8. If you pay 10 weeks in

advance you get $1 per week off, so that brings it down to $7 per

week. That's just about what it costs to go out to eat. And at

least there is no pushy sales pitch to eat WW food and buy other WW

products!
