Guest guest
I don't have a problem with low-carb when its done correctly but too many people don't really do the research and think that all they need to eat is beef, cheese, and fat in order to get the benefits of low carb lifestyles. Every book out there from Atkins to South Beach to all the rest etc.stresses that you DO add back in carbs in the form of vegetables first, fruits second, and whole grains third. The only time you are omitting that stuff is in the first TWO weeks. Fourteen days. That's it. Poor Dr. Atkins must be rolling in his grave to see what's become of his diet. Not to mention how companies are doing to low-carb what they did to " fat-free " - making it a ton of junk instead of the wholesome, unprocessed lifestyle its supposed to be. Guest guest
picked up a package of " carb counter " hotdog rolls - not because she's low carb, but because she had a coupon :-) - we all tasted them (she, me, the kids) - all of us said " Awful? Guest guest
On the other hand, there are some really WW friendly foods out there labelled " lo carb " . Case in point - the Western Bagels " alternative " bagel - 1 point and delicious. I always check the labels on the new lo carb stuff because I love discovering new low point foods! > yeah theres a low carb store around the corner from where I live.
