Guest guest Posted March 7, 2006 Report Posted March 7, 2006 I've recently re-started the SBD (gained 25 pounds due to stress eating and the holidays [(] ) and so joined this group for support. I just asked my husband yesterday if he'd go on the diet with me because it's easier to diet when everyone supports each other - at 6'3 " he's 195, but he's about 20 lbs over what he used to be. Anyway, late yesterday he got his doctor's report (talk about timing!) and his cholesterol is at 209 (not bad, but could be better), but his triglycerides are over 800!!! All I could do was gape at him like a fish! I've never heard of someone whose numbers are so high. Has anyone experienced a reduction in triglycerides on this diet? I'm positive that this is a good diet for him but I'd like some validation - he's a numbers kind of guy and if I can present him with actual numbers he'll be more likely to follow the diet. Thanks!
