Wow! Thanks so much to both of you for your responses - this

information is really helpful. I do strongly suspect that the " mass "

is an ovarian cyst (as I have a history of such), which will need to

be removed. My GP has suggested that I might want to have a full

hysterectomy. I have no objections to doing so in regards to

childbearing (do not want children), but would like to know further

info on the health risks associated with a full hysterectomy at age

42. Since I've never had anything but trouble from my

uterus/ovaries, I'm inclined to just yank 'em out, but I really think

I ought to consider the risks/benefits logically first.

thanks again,

Dr is soooo right about this. If the Doctor

does not get good information on where the finbroids

are or how many...or if someone reads it wrong then

you could end up like me and having two myos in one

year. This is a Doctor test. If he doesn't ask to

see the pictures or doesn't show enough info on them

then run don't walk in search of a new Doctor.

Also remember if they suspect any adenomyosis you

must demand an MRI with T2 differential and have it

read by someone who can tell the difference between

fibroids and adenomyosis.

Dr is on with this advice!!!!!Take it to heart

ladies.

No one goes for two myos this year 2004 due to poor

planning and poor MRI readings. huh? Group goal?

Good Luck
