Guest guest
Yes , I agree 100% with what has said - actually couldn't have said it any better myself. But ALSO REMEMBER this NO 2 LUPUS PATIENTS ARE ALIKE!!!!! I may be very sick and have a list of problems and symptoms but that does NOT mean you will get as sick as I let alone have the same problems I have. So you may get depressed hearing how sick and I usually always are - DO NOT let our problems make you feel the same is going to happen to you. EVERYONE is different. Welcome to the group and please feel free to ask any and all questions. No question is a stupid question ok. Guest guest
, In the first place, stop blaming yourself, honey. You didn't run out in the road and ask a higher power to bless you with this disease, did you? Of course not. None of us did. We are all ages, all races, all walks of life, and not one of us asked to be chronically ill with a disease that makes our bodies attack US. But, then, we weren't given coupons for fairness with our birth certificates, either. So, what are you taking for depression and how is it working for you? Did you try more than one antidepressant? Did you know that at your age, your dosage should be rechecked every six months to make sure you are getting enough of the medication? As for losing your life...don't even think that way. Sure, you have to CHANGE your plans, learn to live in the moment, like some actors (You know THE METHOD actors in New York.) and learn to be spontaneous for those moments when your body DOES feel better. They will happen, eventually. I get low, just as everyone does in this group, but we are here for each other 24/7, are willing to listen, advise, joke, whine (We even offer cheese with that.), and just be here for you. Feel free to join any conversation going on the board, ask questions, vent, etc. It helps to share with people who have been there, done that, as they say. Again, welcome.
