I was taking 200mg 4x a day..the highest dose they really would give a person. It helped in the beginning for the RSD too...probably made me not notice the symptoms of having it until it got really bad. The only problem I really had from the ultram is I was always itchy everywhere towards the end. It seems with that high a dase for over a yr all of a sudden made me allergic to it. I could deal with the itchiness if I took benadryl non drowsy formula..it really helped. If I didn't take the benadryl..I was itchy and scratching constantly. I know Donna took ultram for awhile for the RSD...and she said it helped alot. I think it all depends on the person whether it helps or not just like any other med. At least these are cuter than that Doctor that you just seen! Now I've heard everything....Calcium and Hot water??? never heard of it......and I think that I've heard of everything between the idiot GP that I have, the quacks I've gone to, and all of the "Home remedies" that my hubby has come up with for me to try! Instead of asking if they know what RSD is, ask next time how many Patients that they are currently treating that has RSD......that might be better.
