Guest guest
I think it would be difficult to see " 4 activity points every day " as a mandate, if I hadn't gotten to that point. You are wise to start slow, make 4 points your goal instead of what you will do today. If you don't have one hour to do any specific exercise, then look at 15 to 20 minute intervals during the day. Force yourself to take a 15 minute break to take a walk, lift some weights (or soup cans if you haven't been lifting weights) or try those bands that some use. After a while, you will enjoy those breaks and perhaps fit four whole 15 minute breaks, just for you, 3 to 5 days a week. I would think the steps would count in the beginning, but after you get used to the habit, you will need to increase your activity to challenge your body. good job on the 5000 steps per day! You are a busy woman. 4 APs: how hard IS it? Just wanted to comment, because I find it VERY hard to get 4 APs a day, without spending a lot of time exercising....I'm looking at my Points Booster slide rule, and for my weight, I'd have to do 116 minutes at light 83 minutes at moderate Or 33 minutes at high Personally, I can't last very long at a high intensity, and don't prefer doing high intensity.I prefer moderate...but 83 minutes? Sheesh.... Anybody else having this dilemma? ~~
Guest guest
Wow, I just looked at the calculator.... I think there is something not right. Because would one think of moderate activity as like something which isn't running or in line skating or race biking? For a person who weighs 150 lbs an hour of moderate activity only yields 3 APs but an hour of " heavy " activity yields 7 APs. That cannot be right. People here are correct - if you weigh under 200 lbs (and a lot of folks do), you would have to work out 90 minutes or more a day to get 4 APs. They must be counting other activity .... other than what Dr Phil calls " intentional exercise " , right? Guest guest
I can answer that because I weigh 208 - it's one hour of moderate activity to earn 4 APs....
