Guest guest
My son had an infection with one of his biopsies, but antibiotics took care of it, and it did not turn into a big problem for him. Sorry to hear about this complication. I hope the antibiotics do the trick. Guest guest
Hi , So sorry to hear that you have an infection at the site of your biopsy. I had my biopsy done on my upper thigh area, and I didn't get an infection. When did you call your neurologist? Maybe she is busy and I do hope she gets back to you real soon. If not, please call her again, she needs to know what is happening. What kind of shot did they give you in the ER? What type of antibiotics did they put you on? Did the hospital call the surgeon who performed your biopsy? Did they suggest that you use a warm soak or anything like that to help with the pain? Is your arm sore and red? Have you been over using your arm? I can only suggest that you try not to use your arm so much and to try to relax. Did the ER actually say they didn't know if the antibiotics would stop the infection? If so I wonder why they would say that. How bad is your arm? How long has the biopsy site looked like it was getting infected.? Good Luck. I hope she calls you back tonight. Hugs, Ann-Marie infection around biopsy site hey all, Arm update from my muscle biopsy. I had to go to the ER today, I am starting to get an infection around the biopsy site. Guest guest
I had what I thought was an infection in my last biopsy in my leg. I drove all the way to Cleveland to be told it was inflammation, not an infection. I'm still not sure as I had been putting anti-bacterial cream on it. I had to pack it for months to get it to heal. Good luck with yours. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Fri, 24 Sep 2004 17:03:03 -0700 (PDT) > To: > Subject: infection around biopsy site > > hey all, > > Arm update from my muscle biopsy. > > I had to go to the ER today, I am starting to get an infection around the > biopsy site.
