I can tell you that our plastic surgeon with my son did not refuse

to write the script for the STAR band but he strongly urged us to

use another local place that he liked to deal with and unfortunately

he was 100% right, we had a ton of problems with our STAR band. I

always thought it was the band but from reading many posts on this

web site I now think maybe a lot of the problem was actually the

orthotist not knowing how to adjust the band properly.
