Hi Uzoma

The options that you have for the treatment of

fibroids are myomectomy- surgical removal of the

fibroids, UAE- ablation which uses radiology to shrink

the fibroids and hysterectomy. You can find lots of

information about all of these by reading the posts to

this group from women who have gone through the

different procedures and their experiences. I would

also recommend that you do a search of websites

dealing with each of the treatments. Also your

gyneacologist will be able to give you a lot of

information and advice.

From my understanding fibroids with problematic

symptoms only grow back in approximately 20% of cases

after a myomectomy.
