Guest guest Posted September 28, 2004 Report Share Posted September 28, 2004 Today I went for a wheelchair evaluation, totally convinced that I was looking at some repairs and perhaps a new seat for my chair which is 3 years old. Well - to my surprise - the therapist feels that it would be too costly to upgrade my current chair to meet my present needs so he has recommended a new chair for me. The chair he ordered will have a power tilt and seat elevator and a new seating system. We are not sure that the seat elevator will be approved by my insurance but he feels it's what I need to be able to reach things in my home and even in the stores. His recommendation is a Jazzy again - which I question a little - but I'll go with his recommendation. At least this time, I got to pick the color. I decided on blue which is my favorite color. The last time I had no choice and had to get champagne. So there's my news. Now let's see what insurance has to say. The chair - once approved - will take 8 to 10 weeks to arrive.
