Alice and Laurie and all, Isn't that illegal in the U.S. (yes, I think Gillian is in UK, but most of us are in the States)? Discharging a patient because of a diagnosis? Without even a referral to another specialist in the same field? Certainly the medical board should hear about that. But on the other hand, he may have saved your life by releasing you as a patient, because he was honest enough to say he couldn't handle your diagnosis.
