question about treatment for bone loss

Those of you who are on treatment for osteoporosis, what drugs have

given you problems and what works? My latest bone density tests are

not good and my PCP told me to come in Monday to discuss treatment.

I have not been able to take Fosamax for various GI reasons. A

friend told me there is now an rx nasal spray that can be used. This

sounds more reasonable, given my GI situation, but I am not up on

these drugs and don't really have the umph to do all the research

right now. Hoping you all can help me be a little better informed

when I go in.
