Unable to attend conference

Hi all,

After much debate and going back and forth between yes and no, I

realized that I am not going to be able to attend the conference this

year. I wish I could meet all of you. There are so many that I have

been talking to and wanting to meet and/or see again. I have been

through a crash pretty much all summer and with having the G/J tube

procedure on August 9, it is just a little too much for my body to take

on right now. Even though I know it is the right decision, it was a hard

one to make, as Malisa can tell you (thank you for letting me talk your

ear off about this) :-)

I hope you all have a good time and I hope to meet you all at

the next conference or even somewhere else along the road. I am praying

for safe travels for everyone going.

I just want you to know that I went back and forth as well about attending. As

much as I wanted to be there, I too have medical needs that are in the same time

frame and are very important ones. I understand your reasons for needing to

pass this conference by and take care of your physical needs. We will all be

praying for you on 8/9 when you have the g/j and I know how hard it is to face

that. Not putting the added stress of travel on your system before the surgery

makes a great deal of sense to me.

Am saddened by this unhappy news because I was so looking forward to

meeting you face-to-face.

But you must do what is the best thing for your body. Being in a

protracted crash is an awful time--we all know that.

I hope that your procedure will go well, and that you will recover from

it quickly.

You will be missed, a!

Thank you for your kind words. It helps to know that others

struggled with the decision as well, even though I wish you didn't have

to. How are you doing lately? I am glad I had the opportunity to meet

you in Dallas and hopefully we will meet again at a future conference.

I will miss having you at the conference, but I think you have made a good

decision. Surgery on top of the conference would be too much even if you

weren't in a crash.

you will be in my prayers on the 9th and the days of recovery and

adjustment after.
