Guest guest
Dear Listmates, The speaker at the dinner was the above scientist from Australia. He is a biohemist who spent the first 25 years of his professional life mapping the genome of yeast, and studying its mitochondria. With his dry Australian wit he said how others used to wonder why in the world he would spend almost a lifetime on yeast! Well, he said that we humans and yeast share much in common, especially in how our mitochondria function. As far as he is concerned, he said there are two compounds to use in mitochondrial disease: CoQ10 and magnesium orotate. I find that interesting, since I am now chronically deficient in magnesium, even with supplementation. Now I will look for magnesium with orotate. Hope this helps. S. Guest guest
Have you had testing done to see if your kidneys are spilling the magnesium. Mine do and I have to take 2000 mg per day to get to the bottom of the normal range. laurie > From: BDS31@... > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 2 Sep 2004 13:19:35 -0400 > To: , adultmito > Subject: UMDF Conference: Linnane, PhD > > Dear Listmates, > The speaker at the dinner was the above scientist from Australia.
