Guest guest
On Saturday I am going over to my MIL with a friend and we are going to learn how to make Christmas candy. This is a refresher course for me as I have made most of this stuff before but my friend wants to learn how to make the old fashioned type candies. I know nothing we are making is going to be low points...fudge, English toffee, spiced nuts, peanut brittle, etc. Since most of this stuff will be given as gifts I shouldn't have to much problem...as long as I can stay out of the fudge. But it's holiday tradition in my husbands family to make this stuff and so I feel a certain obligation to make this stuff (especially the English toffee). I was wondering if anyone has seen any recipes for low cal/low fat candy or holiday goodies. I know there are plenty of recipes for low point cookies and desserts but I was thinking of making up a nice list of special low point holiday goodies that can be given as gifts that no one would know were healthier treats.
