RE: Core or flex

I think at your weight, you have so many points that it's much easier

to do Flex while continuing to eat fruits and veggies.

A lot of people find it more difficult to spend their points on

fruits/dairy and complex carbs when their points get down to 20.

I love Core as it has taken the psychological edge of dieting -- I eat

when I'm hungry and enjoy the Core food a lot.

If you have portion control issues, it might be better to do Flex for

awhile until you have internalized what normal portions are like.

Doing Core is extremely healthy -- it's really the diet recommended by

most nutritionists/doctors. You can always do Flex and choose Core

foods which is a great way to retrain one's food tastes towards a

healthy diet. When I became lifetime on WW, I really followed a Core

diet (didn't know that was what it was) and am very grateful that I

expanded my food horizons to prefer fish, all types of fresh veggies

(always loved fruit) and complex whole grains.

My husband was really impressed w/ the Core plan. He used to compete in

body building competitions and he's always been really good about eating

right and staying in shape. He won't ever follow WW, 'cause he just

doesn't need the discipline that I do to stay in shape, but I was really

surprised when he got excited about the Core Plan.

For me, I'm sticking w/ the Flex plan, 'cause I enjoy popping a Lean

Cuisine deep dish pizza in the microwave and eating all 7 or 8 yummy

pts. without having to pull from my weekly FP's. Plus, I'm definitely a

convenience eater, so I end up eating a lot more dry and carby foods,

than I do meats and veggies.

I think the biggest motivator though, is the fact that I'm pretty close

to my goal weight and I'm TERRIFIED of a gain! =) My goal date is

November 27th. So far, I'm right on track and even though I've given

myself some time leeway with these last 11lbs. I just can't muster up

the strength to change my routine this close to the end.

Maybe once I hit goal I'll switch over, but until then, Flex is good for

me! =)
