Guest guest
Hi, I have my appt with the GI doc tomorrow. I am trying to figure out about my abnormal liver function tests. They elevated one day while I was in the hospital and slowly came back almost to the levels they were before but not quite. I am still wondering if it was simply due to the Percocet or if there is something more going on. I did have trouble with elevated liver tests once before. I thought I remembered I had a flu and was throwing and the LFTs came back abnormal, but in reviewing my records, I see that I had no fever or other viral symptoms at the time. Just throwing to the point of dehydration and elevated LFTs. I was on a medication at that time and the tests remained elevated for a couple of months until finally I stopped taking the medication and they went to normal. Your liver does so much in your body, I wonder how mito effects it. I have heard that you can be very sick with liver problems with fairly low LFT readings. Also, with so many mito patients being sensitive to meds, foods, supplements, and it is the job of the liver to clear things from the body, it just seems to me there is a connection. Anyone have any trouble attributed to the liver? Adam
