Guest guest
I find it funny sometimes when I read posts just after going through something somewhat similar. I also find that the ignorance is not only around us, but sometimes within us as well. I am ignorant. I am confused. I am trying to make sense of something intangible and often vague (at least in my case) Just yesterday I was feeling achy all over and extremely tired. I had gone Rock & Bowling with the boys and our church youth group on Saturday, and used muscles that I don't use much anymore. (I didn't do too badly either, if I do say so myself.) ) I was trying to explain to someone how I feel. I told them that this is my norm, so I don't pay attention too it that often. I just get up even when I don't feel like getting up and keep moving when I have to. I tend to slack off in the evening in the privacy of my own home, and unfortunately my house reflects that. Oh well. The only real way I had to give that person some sense of what I feel is this... You know when you first wake up and your hands feel " funny " and achy and you cannot make a fist right away? That is how parts of my arms, legs, hands & even brain feels most of the time. Not really pain.........just not right. I find myself rubbing my legs sometimes or squeezing my arms and hands to get some relief. Sometimes I can get my kids to squeeze my calves and feet if they are bothering me alot. Is this how it feels to anyone else, or am I way off base? I felt like I hit the nail on the head with that example, but maybe that is just my experience. Guest guest
Being in Rhode Island, I can understand the snow example. I find though that my sensation does not always " hurt " , it is more an ache or strange feeling.
Guest guest
Sheila I explain mine more like when you shovel lots of snow for the first time in a season and then ache all over and don't want to move. I guess that example wouldn't work for anyone who has no snow around them. laurie > From: Smz143@... > Reply-To: > Date: Mon, 27 Sep 2004 23:35:22 EDT > To: > Subject: Re: Ignorance of mito around us... > > I find it funny sometimes when I read posts just after going through > something somewhat similar. > I also find that the ignorance is not only around us, but sometimes within us > as well. > I am ignorant. Guest guest
--- For me I would add this to the shoveling....Going out drinking until you can't see straight. How do you feel the next day. That is how I feel sometimes without drinking or shoveling. dawn a In , Laureta Fitzgerald wrote: > Sheila > > I explain mine more like when you shovel lots of snow for the first time in > a season and then ache all over and don't want to move.
