I was loaded to the gills with paperwork about the procedure. I had his folder and my folder. He came in and I said what do you think about WLS... and after some encouraging words he said that I was a great candidate, he would write the referral and would write any letters to the insurance that I might need. I knew I liked this doctor for a reason. He is just wonderful. He didn't look at the info I brought, but he did take it with him to look at later. I told him some things about the type of WLS and about the surgeon I wanted to go to and he seemed pretty pleased that I did my homework. So my appointment with Dr. E. for consultation is March 28. Thanks for all your support! , My consultation with Dr. E is on March 23 a few days before yours. I am nervous but yet very excited. My pcp also thought I was a good candidate. I live in Richmond, about 1 1/2 hours away. I don't really like the idea of the distance but yet have heard great things about Dr. E. I am interested mainly in the DS, maybe lap if they can. I live about 3 miles from the airport, so please let's get together when you are in this area, I would love it. I am really interested in meeting others who are going through the same surgery as me. You should be given a medal, and your husband should try it sometime, before he tries to blame it all on you. I am happy you are going to see Dr. E. also, you can fill me in on the details. Maybe our surgery will be scheduled around the same time. I go to Richmond (Sandston area) once a week for a couple of days at a time for work. Maybe one day we can do dinner or something?
