Guest guest
I'll be honest with you. I love this board and I'm one of the moderators. But if I were to be told I couldn't share my fitness stories, I'd probably...no, definitely unsubscribe. I'll tell you why. I'm in a completely different place in my Wwers journey. I've made lifetime. I don't struggle " that " much with the program. I maintain my weight loss by continuing to be on program. I no longer need tips and hints about things to eat. I don't really need to share if I've gone off program because, honestly (and I'm not bragging, this is just the way I am), I don't. But what I *am* doing right now is building up my fitness base. I suffer from adult onset athleticism (to borrow a phrase from someone else). If I go to a running board and I say " I can't believe it! I ran 3 miles at an 8 minute mile pace! " they are going to be like " Ho hum. " For people who have always ran, that's nothing. For me that is phenomenal. This has everything to do with my weight loss journey. Sharing that I have done a healthy, good thing for my body is completely different than saying " I've eaten half a cow, and I don't care! I'm not counting points today because it's the 3rd anniversary of my first pedicure! " Sharing a race report may bore some people (which is why God created the delete key) but others may read it and say " Wow, that sounds like fun and who knows, maybe someday I can try that! " Running earns me Aps, which is a part of the weight watchers program. I wouldn't think there is anyone who is MORE serious (just as, but not more) than I am about weight watchers. It is a part of my lifestyle. I don't share about things not related to health and fitness that I do, like read up on the latest technology in quantum computing, or other geeky things, but I will continue to share my race reports because from the feedback I've received, people enjoy reading them. > Re: moderating/Race > Reports/Exercise > > > Another thing I personally have a > > problem with is, IF we are to be so strict in what we can or cannot > > say, then why are we going SO " off tropic " to hear every detail of > > people's race reports. > > > > Right away, let me clarify this, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of > > each and every one of you who are training or participating on race > > events of any kind; however, that does also not fit the description > > of this board as serious weight watchers.
