That cheese slice has water in it. I tear the slice into pieces, lay on

top of the veg and cover. Set it on the table and by the time you're

ready to sit down, the cheese has melted and you don't have water in the

bowl.

When you put it back into the micro and recook them, you're releasing the water

from the veggies. My suggestion would be to take the veggies out, drain them,

put the cheese on top, then just cover the bowl so the cheese melts from the

heat and steam of the veggies. You'll probably still get a little water on the

bottom, but maybe not as much.

Just a guess.

Subject: cooking problem.. calling all brilliant cooks..

Could one of you brilliant cooks out there solve this

problem?

I cook veggies. I take them out of the micro, and i

drain them in a colander. then i take them and put

them back into the bowl, and add two slices of

sandwich cheese. i nuke it for a minute to melt the

cheese, and i mix very thoroughly. when i finish.. im

left with an inch of liquid in the bowl, and my

'cheese sauce' is " cheese water " . arghhhhh..!!

so my question is.. why?
