Guest guest
Clear DayI have been on weight watchers since Feb. and have lost 25 pounds so far. I had been losing consistantly up until the last couple of weeks. I have to have a hysterectomy on the 21st of this month and it must be the stress that is making me want to eat. How can I stop stressing and what can I do to get back on track. Any ideas would be helpful. I have my weigh in tomorrow night and this is the first time I really dread going because I am afraid I will have a gain. In His Grip! I would suggest that the stress is quite understandable. I've never really found a good way to keep from stress eating, personally. The best I've done is to replace my typical stress foods -- Doritos, mainly -- with vegetables. Right now my current favorite is celery with salsa. Keep praying, and trust in God. -- Sláinte, S. Guest guest
I agree with , sometimes it is best to just replace your usual stress foods with healthier alternatives. You can also try finding other things to do besides eat. Some people knit or do crafts that keep their hands busy. I usually end up cleaning stuff because the smell of cleaning products isn't appetizing and it keeps me busy and it's immediately gratifying. Other options are to go for a walk or do some type of exercise that will get your endorphins up and make you feel better. If I'm really stressed I like to go to Tae Kwon Do class because I am forced to focus on what I'm doing, plus I get to kick and punch stuff and that always feels good ;o) Works great especially for the pent up stress that makes me jittery and really cranky. Jumping rope or jogging is really good for that too. Kris -----Original Message----- Betsy said: > Clear DayI have been on weight watchers since Feb. and have lost 25 > pounds so far. Guest guest
For me, stress eating is a thing of the past because when things are out of control, I control my eating. It makes me feel like I can do something! I went through all these surgeries last year, so I know how stressful staring surgery in the face is. > Re: Stress Eating > > > Betsy said: > > > Clear DayI have been on weight watchers since Feb. and have lost 25 > > pounds so far.
