I'm doing WW at home and never have heard of " Fast track " . Does anyone have

the " rules " they could send to me (and the list)? I sure would appreciate it.

I need to lose fast this week! LOL.

Okay, my wife and I have been doing the Fast Track for about a week now.

Those of you who have not experienced the true joy that is known as Fast

Track probably don't know that, while you will lose weight, you will be

HUNGRY.

I've been faithful to the program so far. Except this morning. This

morning I broke down and ate three -- count 'em, three -- doughnuts.

Sigh.

Must... refocus.

I think it's very tempting, when making a mistake like this, to simply go,

" Ah, well. Might as well blow the rest of it off, too. " That's the wrong

approach, of course. But refocusing is hard to do.

What helps you refocus when you make a mistake?

hi there, I understand where you are coming from. I am on my second

week with weight watchers. I tried really hard to have a vision of

what I look like when I hit my goal. I spend a lot of time thinking

and envisioning this image until it was a real picture for me. So

when I am tempted to " blow it " , I close my eyes for a second and see

my picture of MY SKINNY ME! I hope this doesnt sound rediculous.

And you should pat yourself on the back for catching yourself after

that one moment, I mean you could have gone on for days that way but

you didnt! And thats what counts.

I write down all the positive things that have come out of me loosing

weight. Mostly it's the little things like walking around the mall for two

or three hours and never needing to stop and sit down...used to get tired

after about an hour and a half. My 6 year old daughter telling me one night

that it's better now that I'm not 'fluffy' anymore because there is more

room for me to snuggle in her bed with her. I have a lot more energy. I'm

happier in my own skin. Stuff like that.

That said, why are you doing the Fast Track thing again? Didn't you just do

it a few weeks back? Did it work? Have you tried eating more points instead

of less? Have you tried the Plan where you vary your points every day?

I know that you are wanting the weight to come off and that waiting for it

to happen is hard (believe me I KNOW how hard that is) but it will come off

eventually as long as you hang in there. It's very hard but I eventually

realized that I like WW, it does work, and if I'm going to be doing it for

the rest of my life anyway then why am I in such a hurry to get to goal? I

will still be counting points, weighing myself regularly, and no matter what

as long as I stick with it I will be healthier than I was the day I started

(or yesterday for that matter). I know what it's like to be obsessed with

waiting to see a certain number on the scale but that number is not going to

magically make you healthy and well adjusted, and if you don't believe me

then ask all the people on this list that reached goal and are back try to

get there again. It will always be a struggle to loose and keep the weight

off. Some days will be a breeze and some days will be a hurricane, just

don't loose your focus and keep in mind it's not about the numbers on the

scale it's about being healthier and feeling good.

Thanks, Leana. :)

I admit that I don't have a clear picture of what " the skinny me " would

look like, since I've never been skinny (well, not since the 6th grade, at

least). I'm trying to use, " What would the healthy, fit me choose to do? "

Hm, maybe I could use Photoshop to make a skinny me out of a fat me. ;-)

We did the Fast Track thing back in February, and I lost about 8 pounds.

So, yes, it worked. :)

We're doing it again because May was pretty cataclysmic for us in terms of

WW. I was under a LOT of stress that month because of school, work, and

illness; was under a similar amount of stress (partially having

to deal with a stressed-out me). I ate very badly, didn't work out at

all, and gained back all of the weight I'd lost so far in 2004. Yes, in

one month. Sigh.

Doing the Fast Track program again isn't so much about losing the weight

again, but a way of refocusing on the program. We wanted to get back into

the habit of counting points, measuring servings, actually looking at what

we're eating, and so on. It probably is a bit extreme; heck, I'm prepared

to accept that I may, paradoxically, gain weight again -- or, at least,

not lose -- this time around. That really doesn't matter. It's getting

back into the habits that's important for me.

I did ask on this list whether it would be okay to go back on FT a few

weeks ago, but I didn't get any responses. I just assumed it would be

okay. :)

,

I also need some refocusing techniques. I hope someone responds to your

question...and now mine. =)

I also have the Fast Track program, but I've been hesistant to use it until I

have a better grip on staying on program for more than a few days. I keep on

doing REALLY well on Monday through Wednesday and then I just give up on

Thursday and succumb to the bad eating demons. I hate it. I really do. Any

ideas would be greatly appreciated (since it's Monday, I'm doing great, btw.
