Guest guest
Just had to chime in on the bagel discussion. As a Jewish kid growing up in Brooklyn, NY, bagels are one thing I know about and have strong opinions about. There are lots of things that I'll substitute for on WW - FF Frozen Yogurt or Lite Ice Cream instead of full fat - for example - but, with bagels - no!!!! Actually, I've cut way down on my bagel consumption - pre WW it was a bagel pretty much every morning. When WW started, I cut down to 1/2 bagel. Then when I started eating Kashi for breakfast (mostly to help with the fiber intake and the resulting intestinal benefits), I now do bagels only " once-in-a while " . However, when I do, I'm not happy unless they're true bagel bakery bagels --- the usual size, I count as 6 points a bagel - and I'll usually eat only half. My wife slices them and we keep a bag of froze half-bagels in the freezer. Just toast one up when you want it --- Lenders are OK in a pinch, and certainly they're more point friendly - but I'd still rather have 1/2 a regular bagel then a whole Lender's bagel. BTW, outside of the NY/NJ/CT area - I still haven't found a bagel that " measures up " . Mitch Adoption is an Option wrote: > I just love those bagels!!
