Guest guest
Maybe she was having a bad day! One thing that I love about doctors and nurses is that they are mostly loving, caring people. But one frustration is that they forget that even if they've heard it a million times (the statement, the owie, the complaint) you've only made it ONE time so for you it's important. -----Original Message-----From: Adoption is an Option Sent: Friday, May 28, 2004 5:46 AMTo: Serious-Weight-Watchers Subject: LOL...another Doctor vent I went to the OB/GYN on monday for my annual appointment and as I step up on the scale I say "I bet I have lost atleast 20 lbs since the last time I was here!" The nurse makes a little grunting noise acknowledging me and writes my weight down and then just tells me to undress the dr. will be in shortly. Then the dr. never said anything either. By golly when I lose 40 lbs......somebody better say something! lol........... Moe
Guest guest
Don't be to upset. My doctor has never said anything about my weight loss either. I think she just doesn't pay attention to what I weighed on past visits. I don't come in very often anyway and so I'm not usually seen for the same problem twice. She never said anything about me being over weight though so I figure it's all good in the end. Had she commented on me being over weight every time I came in and then didn't comment when I started loosing then I would be a bit ticked off ;o). Every time I see my doctor, she's quite sure to solemnly mention that I'm quite overweight. ;-) -- Slainte, S. Guest guest
I hate doctors like that. I went to one once and came home crying because she said I was over-weight and then handed me a diet plan. Wasn't the least bit tactful about it either. Had I asked her how to loose weight or mentioned I was concerned about my weight it would have been different. Guest guest
My gyno never commented on my weight, but after I had lost the pounds (the first time, I'm on my second go-round) all of a sudden they started asking me if I wanted to discuss pre-pregnancy health....I never quite figured out the connection there... > > > Don't be to upset.
