Hi there: My father had a shoe store, & when my sister & I were growing

up, the xray machine was our toy at the the store. We would take turns

looking at each others feet. She had breat cancer (she's a survivor)

about 12 yrs. ago, & we wonder if that xray machine could have caused

it. Regards, jerrie

Aletta,

A lot of general practioners used to have x-ray machines in their offices

too.

My mother was the office nurse for a local doctor who had an x-ray room in

his

practice 25-30 years ago and she was the x-ray technician designee. She

developed cervical cancer at 40 and breast cancer a few years later. She

survived both and is still going strong at 76. I always wondered though if

the x-ray exposure which was then much less regulated could have contributed

to either cancer.
