Patti,

You and your family are in my prayers tonight. And it is *not* strange that you

are not sleeping well -- look what you are going through!!! A few years back my

mom was in a serious car accident, and ended up dying, but for four months

during her hospitalization I had to call long-distance daily, fill in all the

relatives, and go up to be with her every weekend. Serious illness is an

incredible strain on our bodies! The only way I could cope was to cut out

everything else -- everything -- except work and my mom. I even took a leave of

absence from work, and that helped. But the emotional and physical toll is/was

great.

Take care of *yourself* first, so you have what you need to offer strength and

compassion to your father in law and your husband. Make sure you get your

protein in -- even if it means drinking it in the car on the way to the

hospital. Our body uses a lot of protein during times of stress, and getting in

extra will give you some physical strength.

Re: Digest Number 4735

hi list, i am having trouble getting back on diet plan. my dhs father had

massive heart attack last monday, is in a coma, very little chance of survival.

i know it sounds strange, but i am not sleeping well, in fact i almost dozed

off in car on way to work...not good.. do not know if its stress or what, but

since hubby is finally on meds for depression, was misdiagnosed for 25 yrs, he

was a very heavy drinker... now this.l think i may be waiting for the shoe to

drop since dad is on life support. i am trying to get it together, but with

work etc i seem to be at a loss... thanks for listening. patti rairden, ps

pls say a prayer for my fil and family,

for God so loved the world, that He gave His only son that whosover believeth

in him would not perish but have everlasting life john 3:16
