My sister-in-law's kids are 5 (now in a booster seat), 4, 3, and 18 months...I know the thing she didn't like with it when they first made it was the " puzzle piece lock " but that feature has been changed to an easier lock. Maybe they have improved although looking at their seats do look bulky but to me all the convertibles do.
