Guest guest
Pam, Its such a shame when someone who you had a life with goes to such lengths to hurt us. LIke abuse is not bad enough. You do have the strength to deal with this, you'll find it within yourself, I'm sure. It sounds as if you have a wonderful husband now who will help you get through it, as will all of us. I am amazed at the laws that allow people to get away with this. Child support obligations are NOT your new husband's responsibility, I don't believe that (at least in NJ) they can use a spouse's income to determine that. Is your daughter still in school? If she isn't, and works, you would request that she be considered emancipated. And, if your ex is stalking you, call the police. Do not let him intimidate you like that. Even if they can't do anything legally, let him know you're calling them, and that they know what is going on. Even if you have to keep having them come out. You may even be able to get a restraining order, and then he would be arrested if he continued.. Be strong.. don't let him get away with this stuff. Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
Lyn , well this is a long story.but I will give you the condensed version.well for the third time my ex is taking me to court to get child support for my 17 year old daughter that dosent live with him she is living with her 26 year old brother. but he is doing this in hopes to push me over the edge and i'm close. even though I am not able to work he expects my new husband to pay the child support. even though we have no ins. and he takes care of all my medical which to this point is well over 7,000 . He has always hurt me and now he would like to see me dead. we have had to have lawyers for the past year and a half because of him. I took care of my daughter all her life until he lured her away and then kicked her out a month ago. all I want to be is left alone by him. H has tried turning my kids against me because they are so afraid of him. every day I fight with this monster rsd and I dont know if I can fight another battle with him. I know this is probely not the right frame of mind to be in. but after all the years I just want to be left alone by him,it isnt bad enough that because of his abuse to me I now have rsd....I have to find a little strength to do this it is so hard. also I cant be in the same room with him because I get so scard. also He was following me the other day. well enough of my ramblings I'm sorry for the book take care soft hugs to you....pamlynlorraine wrote: Dear Pam,Please, if you will tell me what is happening right now. Guest guest
Pam, Really do not want to be nosey, but isn't there a way to get the police involved! I would have have a restraining order against him, and if he started stalking I would have him put in jail! The police take these crimes much more serious than they used to! After so many women have been attacted by there ex's, you see judges and police take this matter into there own hands and put these people in jail for a long time!!! Do not let yourself get hurt from this animal! I am worried about you and do not want to see him still have control of your life! You should let him have it for a change! Just my suggestion, because I do not want to see you get hurt anylonger!! Take your life back Pam and do not let him control you for another second!!!! I would love to get my hands on him! There is no reason that you should still be getting stalked by him and the police should be able to help you!!! Take Care and Please Know That I Really Care and Worry About You and Your Family!!!!! LOL Always and Best Wishes! Guest guest
As others have said, I don't think that the laws require your current husband to pay child support. Heck, your daughter isn't even living with her father. Your attorney can advise you on this, but please don't let this guy get to you. If he's stalking you, file a restraining order. Keep careful notes of any contact you have from him and the dates/times that you see him following you. Im'sorry you're having to go through all of this.
