Hey everyone~~

I have a couple of questions.

I am very close to getting a wheel chair,

I was wondering if any one out there can tell me which maker you have found

to be the best in both categories ... manual and electric.

I would rather have a manual but I am not sure my wrists and shoulders would

be able to take it.

This wheel chair is going to be used when I need to do lots of walking not

just around the house. I am still fine around the house (as long as I don't

injure myself), I have been missing out on lots of stuff because I cannot walk

the distance. A mall, museum, that sort of stuff.

Recently I went to an aquarium and used the wheelchair they have there, Other

than the fact that is was a bit too large and clunky for my liking, it was

great to be able to get around the whole place with no added pain. My friend

pushed me (made her feel useful she said) so I really didn't get a chance to use

my wrists.

Many of you know Essa (sp?). I loved her chair when I saw it at the NEDS

conference in Carolina 2 years ago. It was small and sleek. I would like

something like this so I can *blend in with the croud* rather than stick out....

" Look mommy that lady is in a wheelchair ... can I push her? "

Sorry... I probably shouldn't feel this way but I do right now!

There are some small chairs that have push handles which are removable. They

have a really low profile and only itty bitty wide. The wheels can angle out

(for racing I guess.. LOL Right I'm gona join a team tomorrow!) I think they

are called COLOURS.

Anyone got comments for me?

Debbi

PS: Anyone have Essa's email address?

I would love to contact her about her chair.
