Guest guest
I agree totaly with Barb, sometimes it doesn't pay to be nice. it does pay to go into your dr's office way more prepaired. A friend of mine got me into journaling what was going on with my body because by the time i dragged myself to the dr's office i couldn't think straight to tell him what had happened since the last visit. Another thing Barb said that made me curious was about the crying and getting the dr's attention. When i get upset i don't cry i get pissed off big time and very very sarcastic. One dr was being very condicending while he was talking to me and i just asked him if he was always this much of an ass or if he took special classes for it? After picking his jaw up off the floor he tested me for what i wanted and prescribed the medicine i needed. Another dr had taken me off of every single med to do some tests, he had me off them for almost a year, in that year i went down hill very rapidly. Finally i got pissed off and told him that if he didn't start treating me i would braid his short and curilies to his very bad beard. I walked out of there with all of my meds re prescribed. So there are my moments in the Dr's office, anyone else have one or two to share? BMW > >Sometimes we need to check our nice personalities at the door when we go to >the doctor's office. I broke down and cried. I had not had a nights sleep >in weeks. I was exhausted. Well that worked for me that time. LOL >So...figure out what is going to work best for you and then go after the >drugs. Take some of the information from here with you. I have and it >sure gets the docs attention when you show them you know what your are >talking about. barb _________________________________________________________________ Get fast, reliable access with MSN 9 Dial-up.
