Lynlorraine---I have taken prednisone a couple of times and my primary told me all the time that even though it may help with the rsd and other pain, it can cause other complications through out your system. Prednisone is very hard on the kidneys especially and shouldn't be taken for too long a period. It took all my pain and inflammation away but I'm never on it for longer than a few weeks.
