Guest guest
I have a co-worker that backed out of her surgery as well. It was supposed to be 10 days before mine. She decided to give a " diet " one last shot. Her dad & her sister both had the surgery & did fine. Her's was already approved & scheduled then she backed out like a week before. I usually don't listen to the negative. I know I made the right decision for me. I've had my surgery. I can't change that now. Not that I would if I could. It's been a blessing. I knew the risks. To me the risks of not having it were greater. Stay strong. :-) W 380/284/160 J Tro wrote: > I ran into a co-worker who was going to have WLS and she told me she backed out. Her sister who had the surgery is having renal failure because she was not taking in enough protein. She is one step to dialysis. Can you imagine? > My coworker got scared and backed out of her surgery - which was wise to her cause if she is not ready to take on the responsibilities that go with the surgery - she shouldn't have it done. > > I guess I mainly bummed cause I have been exposed ALOT this week with the negatives of the surgery (yes, Oprah's show didn't help). I think things happen for a reason and perhaps I do need to see how you need to be compliant with the entire program. > 1) go to meetings or get some support system. > 2) Get help when you are not feeling right.
