If is is trigger point injections using botox, I agree with Mike that they

are a) dangerous and B) inappropriate. There are much better trigger point

therapies. The sustained pressure method works just fine without any stupid

needles or dangerous drugs.

Now, during a trigger point treatment, I may happen to let a few curse words

slip my lips and I may call Dad some things I wouldn't get away with under

other circumstances. However, that has to be less painful by far than

sticking a needle deep into the muscle!

I can't find the article anymore, only a reference to it, but I did read

months ago about a Florida woman who DIED after having these botox

injections. This is the latest " craze " in modern western medicine and there

are a lot of sites out there that promote it, but the same sites that tout

its effectiveness are created by clinics that provide the services.

My personal opinion is to wait and try other, less invasive options first.

Again, I need to stress that my comments were directed toward Botox

as a trigger point treatment. If it is for something different,

there are some very legitimate medical uses for Botox. I would/am

withholding specific judgement in this particular case because I

don't know why the procedure was recommended.
