Guest guest
Hi, I never make it to the chats, but I am going to try tonight. Dr Cohen will be there? Do you write your questions ahead of time? Does everyone get one question each? What are the best type of question to ask..general or specific and personal? Thanks, ADam
Guest guest
Hi Adam, By now you have probably read the instructions on tonight's chat but if you still have a question about posting, let me know. We try to allow one question at a time so that people have an equal opportunity to get a question in but it can be complex in that you can write a considerable amount in so that you feel you have the answer you are looking for. If you have another question and Dr Cohen has completed answering the first one by putting the ? up, you need to go out of the chat and come back in to be assigned another number for your next question. Over the internet, the doctors have to be careful with their answers as they must be concerned for their liability. General questions are good and some specifics but treatment plans are not something they can offer without seeing you as a patient. Dr Cohen's chat is normally very busy because of his reputation as tops in Mito specialty. I recommend that you try to get to the chat room early. It opens 15 minutes before the hour but the doctor is not in the room normally until right on the hour. At first- the chat format seems a little strange and perhaps confusing but as you do this a number of times, it becomes quite familiar. We have had comments from the doctors that our format makes it so much easier for them to answer the questions and the goal of this format is to get as much into the hour as possible without causing stress on anyone. The first chat we had with Dr Cohen was 2 hours. He had hand cramps when we were done. We learned from that experience that this requires a lot of keyboard work for the doctors so one hour is much more acceptable. Considering that they do this for us at no charge, I think it's perfect. Hoping to see you tonight in chat. If you have any trouble getting into the chat room , don't give up and keep trying as you will make should make it in. Sometimes the chat room is not as cooperative as we would like but we can't complain. Alice
