Guest guest
Jai, I have never heard of the poem but will look forward to it as soon as you are able, no hurry. I have a 16 year old cat, and he isn't looking too well lately, whenever you look at his eyes he looks tired and he isn't moving too good. I am pretty sure that he has arthritis in his hips I think I will try giving him a baby aspirin, see if that will help any. I hope your hands feel better soon, Love, Lin Hi Guys, I know that a lot of us on the list have pets. They mean so much to us and it is so hard when they pass. Has anyone ever heard of the "Rainbow Bridge"? It is a beautiful poem that helped me cope when my beloved cat Bear Bear died in 2001. A little later when my fingers are more nimble I will post it. What I did was to print it out on pretty paper in a nice font. I framed it and read it often. It is very beautiful. I will send it a little later. Guest guest
Lin - I keep looking at my poor kitty who is either 17 or 18 and, in quiet little moments when I let my mind go there, worry about how much longer she will last. She really is a best friend. Last night, I had no heat (the guy was here til midnight and it looks like the landylady will have to pop for a new boiler). I stayed here with a zillion blankets rather than have the cat be alone. I figured at least she'd have my bodyheat and if worse came to worse, we could go both sleep in the car with the heat on. I hate facing the idea that I will one day not have her. Other than a touch of Alzheimer's, she does fairly well but her age is definitely starting to show. I would worry though about giving a cat a baby aspirin...especially an older one, without checking with a vet first. WOuld scare the dickens out of me.
