What king of treatment is it? Is it something that Medicare would cover? I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED!!!!!!!! sorry to vent, just had to get it out. Take care all, Love Jai

I here you Jai,

That is exactly the way I have been feeling the last few days. I too was active, worked, had great people I worked with. Did race walking with my sister, and at 5 am I would get up and go to the gym and do cross training and weights. Then this. I am on an antidepressant that also helps with neuropathic pain, It is called Effexor.

I don't think medicare will cover anything that is done anywhere out of the USA. I also think this time of year is stressful whether you have a big family or not. Since this drug reacts to stress by causing more pain, and we are in a vicious cycle.

I hope and pray that your spirits be lifted up soon. I had everyone telling me not to be sorry to vent., so you can't be either, after all this is a support group and what is a support group you might ask, it is a place where we can all come and let it all come out. Our fears, anxiety, our joys, and good days. But most of all it is a family that understands what a horrible disease this is. Donna told me the other day, she thinks of 1 thing a day that either she is thankful for or makes her happy. (Sorry Donna) At least I think it was her My mind is not functioning worth beans, I think being at a level 8 pain all day doesn't help my mind any.

Jai, I am here for you my friend, and I would like very much someday to come and see your island.

here is a gentle hug,

Lin

She has a friend that was 100% cured and was bed ridden in the US for 10 years with it. She could not walk at all and now is teaching exercise classes at Curves!! She said the treatment was extremely painful and lasted 8 hours a day for three months straight! She used to take an incredible amount of narcoticsand neurontin 4000mg daily! Now she takes asprin when needed! She keeps telling my Mom that I should look into it even though it is expensive, it has a great outcome and could change my life drastically! I am only 40 and do not want to feel this awful for the rest of my life! I want more info on these treatments and doctors though! Well hope that you have an enjoyable evening and nice weekend. LOL and Best Wishes Always!!!

Hi Dawn,

can I come with you and your Mom? My life is passing me by and I hate it. I get terrible anxiety attacks when I start thinking about it. I take Ativan when it gets real bad. I take meds for the depression that has clouded my life since RSD dx. Recently my psych doc put me on Lexapro and stopped the Wellbutrin. I also take Remeron. I hate taking all of this crap but I am a mess without it and have no motivation or happiness. I don't notice any great differenceswith the Lexapro. Does anyone take an antidepressant that really seems to work? If so let me know what it is, I need it bad. When I was first dx I was on so much depression meds I was a total zombie and have very few memories of the first 2 years. At least now I can function much better but still have memory probs.

I used to have such a full life with work, friends, going out a lot. I was very active and rode my bike everywhere. I live on a small island so when I got home from work I parked my car and rode my bike everywhere. The only time I drove was to go off the island to shop or work. I take lots of narcs and 3600mg of Neurontin a day like your friend. That is incredible how she is now so active!! I used to work out and now my idea of working out is going to PT or a trip through Walmart!!!

What king of treatment is it? Is it something that Medicare would cover? I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED!!!!!!!! sorry to vent, just had to get it out. Take care all, Love Jai
