Hi Chris. Your girlfriend's experience is the experience of most all

of us here who were once on T4-only meds, both with continuing

symptoms as well as ignorant docs. It's sad.

Yes, there are many alternative sources. The keeper of those sources

is , and you can contact her here (just click on it even if

it's a broken link): artisticgroom@... We do not make them

public as to protect the sources.

Most of the OTC sources are now providing Naturethroid, which is

another brand name, and I think we would recommend that over the

generic, and definitely over Nutri-Meds. Nutri-Meds is a great in an

emergency, but there is no regulation as to whether it's sufficient

from dose to dose. Generics are used by several here, but it appears

to be weaker, meaning you would need more than Armour or

Naturethroid.
