Guest guest
Thanx for the comments, Inga, & " meddling " well wishes. My two daughters, other son & their kids & families are not in the Portland area...they're all in the Eugene/Sprinfield area which is pretty too in some, but not all, places. Moving there or anywhere other than here for that matter, is way easier said than done which is impossible for many valid reasons right now. Tho I had planned on doing exactly that & even had a house all picked out to buy in Oregon a few years ago....it just wasn't meant to be. I was forced to stay here in California instead in an area I never had any desire to live in if I had any choice, which I didn't at the time....long story for another time. Maybe sometime in future years I can move there tho.....we'll see how it goes. Tho my BIL says I'll die if I move there...another long story. And my California son says I'll get no help in my elder years which I'll need. So there's differences of opinion about that. However, that daughter did call me this morning & we had another one of our long, chatty talks. That always makes my day. YOu were saying how terribley lonley you were and how horrible the heat is where you are...and Portland is a whole heck of a lot prettier too! Or someplace nearby - like Troutdale or Sandy or something... Just a meddling, well-wishing thought :-) ~Inga
