I'll be thinking about all of you on Tuesday. I'm getting more and more anxious and scared, so please send me some good thoughts, energy, and prayers. Thank you! Guest guest Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Hi Cora Well I know the feelings you are having, buy I can tell you that the day before surgery i spent the night in san francisco and went to dinner with my husband and a new friend i met through the kaiser classes, she had surgery the same day i did, right after my surgery. We ate our last dinner together and have kept in touch eversince. I think knowing her and not meeting her until the night before surgery, but having been emailing one another for about a month helped. I was very calm the night before and not too nervous the day of.......................I woke up in the ICU after wondering if i had even had surgery, had to check the tummy ...................and indeed i had ! If you weren't a little apprehensive/scared you wouldn't be normal, at least thats what everyone keeps telling me so I believe them. Keep us posted on your progress when you can.. Just make sure you get lots of rest once you come home and you should do good. I am one week 3 days out and I have lost 15 lbs already and am feeling WONDERFUL!
