Guest guest
Hi, I would also like to have a say... Before I was diagnosed, I got a piercing in naval, when I was 15, it wouldn't heal, so I took it out 2 months later. When I was 19 I tried again, didn't work. And again at 21, this time it healed but the scar is very big and ugly, the 2 first scars are big too but they are white, so they are not so bad as the third one. --------------- First - welcome aboard from me as well. Second - are you having any problems with the scars? Lymphatic Drainage Therapy and Myofascial Release work both have some good scar release techniques that can help with painful scars and even improve their appearance. Third - since you are new to the list, I am a Licensed Massage Practitioner in Seattle (and Barb ' father). My focus is primarily on the energetic modalities, such as Jin Shin Do Acupressue and Polarity Therapy, but I have had a fair amount of training in other things as well, including Lymphatic Drainage, Cranialsacral and Myofascial Release. Barb, her husband Kerry, and I all have HEDS and my interest in massage, bodywork and alternative therapies has been directed toward identifying things that can help alleviate some of the symptoms, etc of EDS. Feel free at any time to hit me with questions via open post or off-list email.
