Guest guest
Hi ladies, Well, after ovarian cancer at age 16 which included removal of one ovary and the tumor, four years of marriage, one ab myo, three hysteroscopic resections, and not much of a sex life because of all my fibroid troubles, my husband and I have now had the green light from my new doctor to try for kids. I just have come off of my bc pills. Had a NORMAL period for the first time since I was 18! I am 30 now and hopeful that we can have a baby this year. But both of us are aware of the possibility that it might not happen. We are trying to focus our energies on other things so the pregnancy will come naturally. However, it will be strange getting used to a more active sex life. I'm afraid neither of us know what a normal sex life is. So I don't want too much time to go by during my most fertile days of the month. That leads me to my question. Can any of you direct me to an informational website that might help me look at a woman's fertility? I am curious to know if I should be counting my cycle days, tracking temperatures, or not worrying about all that at all. I know there are many differing opinions out there on this matter, I would really like to hear them all. Today I am on Cycle Day #7. I stopped taking the pill the Sunday before this last one. So my period started last Tuesday, it is now overwith, so this must be Day #7 right? Is it Day#15 when the ovary releases an egg? When is the best time to try for conception, which cycle day? Thanks ladies, this pregnancy thing is all new to me. It's very exciting too because we were told all along that we really needed to think practically, that I may never be able to carry a full term baby. But I have lots of wonderful people praying for us, that makes all the difference! Any words on this topic would be appreciated. Thanks so much. Blessings to you all, Sonja
