Guest guest Posted September 11, 2004 Report Share Posted September 11, 2004 -Dear Adam, The motility problems that commonly effect the gut during mito (and of course other diseases) can effect the sphinctor of oddi, and the pancreatic duct, as well as the bigger sections of the gut- stomach,intestines, colon and esophagus. i have a friend with gastroparesis who gets a lot of pain in her sphinctor of oddi, and now receives botox injections into that site every few months. it has negated her pain and really helped her gastroparesis.
