Guest guest
Although none of us has to be reminded of the enormity of someone's passing, especially those we love, I remember a Orwell story about an execution. Witnessing a man sidestepping a puddle on the way to his own hanging, Orwell saw what was wrong with such an execution: here was an otherwise perfectly functioning individual--heart pumping, lungs breathing, etc.-- walking to his death. In discussing this, one line really stood out for me. Orwell said something like, " One mind less, one world less. " And it is nothing short of that. We have lost many worlds lately.
